What to Expect
After meeting your guide at Nishi Chaya Ryokushoen, a small public park in the historic Nishi Chaya District, you will be escorted to a traditional teahouse.
Inside the teahouse, please note that shoes must be removed, and seating is tatami-style (tatami chair seating is available upon request).
During this 1hour experience, you will enjoy a live geisha dance performance, followed by interactive traditional games, conversation with the geisha, and photo opportunities.
Traditional Japanese tea and seasonal wagashi (sweets) will be served while you relax and learn about the history, artistry, and customs of Kanazawa’s geisha culture.
The number of geisha varies depending on group size: up to 7 guests will be joined by one geisha, while groups of 8 or more will be joined by two geisha.
This is a shared group experience held in an authentic, privately reserved teahouse, offering an intimate and refined cultural encounter.
