Step into the refined world of Kanazawa’s geisha culture in the historic Nishi Chaya District. This intimate group experience takes place in a traditional privately reserved teahouse, offering a rare opportunity to engage with geisha in a relaxed and elegant setting.

During this 1.5-hour experience, guests will enjoy a live geisha dance performance, followed by interactive traditional games, conversation with the geisha, and photo opportunities.

Traditional Japanese tea and seasonal wagashi (sweets) are served as part of the experience, allowing you to savor the atmosphere while learning about the traditions, artistry, and daily life of geisha.

This is a small-group shared experience, designed to balance authenticity and accessibility while preserving the privacy and traditions of the teahouse.

Cosa aspettarsi

After meeting your guide at Nishi Chaya Ryokushoen, a small public park in the historic Nishi Chaya District, you will be escorted to a traditional teahouse.

Inside the teahouse, please note that shoes must be removed, and seating is tatami-style (tatami chair seating is available upon request).

During this 1.5-hour experience, you will enjoy a live geisha dance performance, followed by interactive traditional games, conversation with the geisha, and photo opportunities.

Traditional Japanese tea and seasonal wagashi (sweets) will be served while you relax and learn about the history, artistry, and customs of Kanazawa’s geisha culture.

The number of geisha varies depending on group size: up to 7 guests will be joined by one geisha, while groups of 8 or more will be joined by two geisha.

This is a shared group experience held in an authentic, privately reserved teahouse, offering an intimate and refined cultural encounter.
